Two key areas where you have helped me improve my eating and weight  control:

1. Change my eating during the first 1:30 of workouts from a bar and one to two bottles of Gatorade to 1/2-Clif Natural Bar and a bottle of Propel.  This cut about 200-calories per day without effecting  performance.

2. Eating more yogurt, FAGE, which keeps my hunger down and gives me more  protein, which you also recommended.

Nicole Baggett's nutrition teaching philosophy follows the old proverb,"Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day.  Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime."  Nicole doesn't simply provide a sample eating regime or recommend some particular diet.  Instead, she educates
her clients to start a nutritious eating pattern that can be implemented on a long-term basis.  

Nicole taught me three particularly important and related lessons:  food as fuel, the timing of daily meals and snacks, and portion control. Before working with Nicole, I rarely ate breakfast, had a large lunch around 12 Noon, and usually ate a large dinner around 8:00.  Now I understand the importance of feeding the body earlier in the day, with smaller portions, so the body works off the consumed calories during the busy day, instead of consuming large amounts of calories before
sleeping.  

Nicole also provided helpful suggestions on meal and snack choices that provide satisfying alternatives.  Overall, I'm thrilled with Nicole's advice, and would recommend her services to anyone who wants to improve their nutrition.

Thanks so much for setting up the Nutrition speaker for the Patroness meeting last week. I thought Nicole did a great job. Nutrition is such an important topic, and she put her talk into a dynamic form that the girls could really understand. It was eye opening to see all of that sugar coming out of those cups. I think my daughters were stunned to see how much sugar is in one of their beloved Jamba Juice drinks! We are always debating if they are really as healthy as promoted, and I think Nicole did an excellent job of pointing out how little nutritional benefit comes from all of those sugar calories!

I want you to know what a life changing experience it was for me working with you on nutrition. I've had pretty good control over my weight since I turned 40, but was going about it from, what I considered, an unhealthy path. When I got married last summer and started eating meals with my husband in the evening, I began a gradual weight increase that was disturbing. Instead of going on a diet, I decided to really look at how and what I eat. Your approach was very systematic and informative. Each week you would introduce a new concept and talk me through reflective thoughts regarding eating habits and choices. You also provided me with significant information on how to read labels and identify the contents of food as well as websites to determine food content. Your suggestions on how often to eat and the inclusion of calcium in the diet have been immensely helpful. Honestly, I'm 56 years old and am looking at food completely differently than I ever have in my life. I want to have a healthy "senior" life and I believe that this new way of eating will assist me in that goal. I am enjoying food more than ever and truly feel in control of my eating.
